The Challenge
A rapidly expanding network of specialized clinics was overwhelmed by patient intake bottlenecks. Front-desk staff spent an average of 15 minutes transcribing handwritten medical histories into legacy EMR systems. The founder needed a rapid MVP to digitize the entire intake process securely while proving market fit to secure Series A funding.
The Solution Architecture
Acadify engineered a fully HIPAA-compliant patient portal MVP in just 6 weeks, prototyped and shipped following our agile MVP development delivery model. We built a React-based progressive web app (PWA) that allowed patients to upload medical histories via mobile devices. On the backend, we utilized Python and AWS Textract to automatically extract and structure medical text from uploaded images, pushing the structured data directly into AWS HealthLake.
